1. Scope
This policy covers amounts that a business pays to Brasata: prepaid business package passes. Verification is included with every business package and creates no separate fee or invoice. It does not govern a customer's payment to an independent business.
2. Prepaid Business Package Passes
A business chooses 1 through 12 prepaid months at checkout. Brasata shows the applicable island, amount, billing currency, tax treatment, and discount before payment. If the business chooses 12 months, Brasata charges exactly 10 monthly rates and grants 12 months of access. This is a one-time payment: there is no automatic renewal, scheduled follow-up charge, or surprise debit.
Paid access normally remains active through its paid-through date. However, if Brasata confirms that this package payment was refunded or reversed, or that a dispute or chargeback affected the payment, Brasata adjusts the paid package access and any related upgrade credit to the confirmed payment outcome. The adjustment can change the remaining coverage, so the paid-through date is not a guarantee that access stays unchanged after an actual payment reversal; it is applied when the outcome is confirmed, not promised to happen immediately. Statutory rights are unaffected. When access expires, the business returns to the free Discover package. Amounts already paid are non-refundable and unused time is not prorated or credited, except where required by applicable law. This rule governs expiry and cash refunds; it is not the upgrade rule.
Four situations are distinct and are not interchangeable: a package purchase from Brasata is paid through Stripe and is non-refundable except where required by applicable law; an upgrade settles the unused value of the current paid term against the new package under the package policy as a non-cash credit toward the new coverage — an upgrade settlement is never a cash refund; a customer's payment to an independent business is refunded by that business, not by Brasata; and a correction of Brasata platform fees follows the exception review described in the buyer service fee explanation, which is limited to duplicate fee processing, an incorrect Brasata fee charge, a proven Brasata technical error, or proof that the customer payment never became definitively successful. A refund to a customer does not create an automatic credit for the fee the business already owes to Brasata.
An expired or failed checkout grants no paid access; return to Brasata to prepare a new order. If the payment result is uncertain, Brasata verifies it and supports a safe payment retry without creating a duplicate order.
3. Business Verification
Verification is optional to browse Brasata and maintain a visible listing. Every booking, reservation, order, ticket purchase, enrollment, subscription, and other customer commitment remains disabled until the business is verified. Verification is included with every business package at no separate fee or invoice, but approval is not automatic: successful Didit KYC plus acceptable evidence that the applicant is authorized to represent the business are still required.
4. Customer Payments to Businesses
A customer pays the independent business directly, and the business is the seller of record. Brasata takes no percentage commission or cut of the sale value. For a definitively successful customer transaction with a positive amount payable to the business, the fixed buyer service fee is XCG 1.50 or AWG 1.50; USD 0.84 or EUR 0.84, based on the transaction currency. A zero-value transaction cannot become chargeable from the fee alone. This is the complete buyer-visible gross fee: any approved fee tax is carved out within that amount, never added above it, and fee activation for an island remains blocked until its tax treatment is reviewed. The buyer pays the fee to the business as part of the direct customer-to-business payment; only after that definitive success does the business owe the matching fee to Brasata. A later cancellation, full or partial refund, reversal, or chargeback does not automatically cancel, reduce, or create a pro-rata credit for the matching fixed fee already incurred by the business. Exception review is limited to duplicate fee processing, an incorrect Brasata fee charge, a proven Brasata technical error, or proof that the customer payment never became definitively successful. Any Brasata fee credit is exception-only after Brasata review; it is not automatic or guaranteed. It is separate from any payment-processor fee. Brasata never receives, holds, splits, or settles money owed to the business and is not the merchant of record for the business sale. Taxes on the underlying business sale, refunds, and chargebacks may still apply. The business is responsible for its prices, fulfillment, cancellation terms, and refunds, subject to applicable law. Customers should contact the business shown on their order or reservation first.
